PROJECT SUMMARY

SPECIALLY DESIGNED
LIFTING FRAMES AND FASTENERS

Loading sensitive and flexible cargo such as train sections requires special lifting arrangements to avoid the cargo bend like a snake. To make sure the Type 183 HLV Lone was able to safely load six light rail vehicles, measuring 41 x 3 x 4 m with a total weight of 416 t special lifting frames and fasteners were designed, manufactured and certified at short notice to fulfil our customers’ needs. All six light rail vehicles were transported in one shipment in the hold of HLV Lone. They safely travelled all the way from Bremen, Germany to Montreal, Canada.
