PROJECT SUMMARY

WE MAKE ENERGY OUR BUSINESS

Energy is what drives the world. From refineries and petrochemical plants to windfarms – cargo items like these come in great varieties and increasing sizes. They entail challenging transport solutions. We know how to handle it. We ship offshore foundations, blades and tower sections to wind farms. We make energy our business. When Type 161 B HLV Maria was involved in a wind farm project, she successfully carried 30 (5 MW) wind mills including nacelles, hubs, blades and tower sections. The cargo was transported from Northern Germany to Belfast, Northern Ireland in twelve consecutive voyages, leading to up to 2738 t and up to 22,230 m³ per voyage.
